Finding New Curriculum Online

Online CurriculumIn one of the neighboring towns near my home is a huge warehouse/store that sells homeschooling curricula from many different publishers. It’s an adventure to walk in and search for resources; the shelves are completely filled with books, workbooks, and study guides. If you don’t have such a store in your area, however, don’t worry. There are quite a few online stores that sell homeschooling products as well. Here are a few of them:

Children’s Books

This is one of my favorite sites, since this is the website of the bookstore I just mentioned. You can find the same resources offered online at a discounted price, just as they are in the store.

Discount Homeschool Supplies

Based in Hickory, North Carolina, this online store offers many different types of homeschooling curricula at a discount. The site is easy to read, navigate, and use. They even offer gift certificates that you can email or send by regular mail to a friend.

Homeschooling Supply

This site is a little harder to read as the type on all of the pages is small, but the store offers more than 20,000 educational products and toys for homeschoolers. Most of the products are also available at a lower price than the regular retail price.

Don’t forget this large online bookseller; Amazon sells new homeschool materials too. It helps to know exactly what you’re looking for, but once you do, you can often find it here.

Many people have small stores on eBay for selling new homeschooling curricula. Again, it helps to know what to look for as you type in the search terms.

However, if you’re ever in the area (Lyman, South Carolina, that is), be sure to check out that very large homeschooling store called Children’s Books. But come ready to spend a few hours — there is so much to look through.
