The Little Hands Big Fun Craft Book by Judy Press and Loretta Trezzo Braren contains more than 70 ideas for activities to work on with your two- to six-year-olds. You’ll find things to do both indoors and out, along with a special section on “Around the World Celebrations” that feature crafts about countries such as Egypt, Israel, China, Vietnam, Italy, and more.

The Little Hands Art Book for ages two to six by Judy Press is another book that will become a favorite. With over 70 projects in this book as well, parents, teachers, and children will find ideas to spark their imagination. Following the directions in the book, young artists will use basic supplies such as paint, paper, markers, glue, and crayons to make unusual crafts.

Little Hands Finger Plays and Actions Songs by Emily Stetson and Vicki Congdon is also for ages two to six and features crafts, songs, games, and fingerplays. Arranged by season, different topics are introduced for Summer, Spring, Fall, and Winter, such as apples, leaves, and snow. A number of holidays are also included.

Little Hands Paper Plate Crafts: Creative Art Fun by Laura Check and Norma Jean Martin-Jourdenais suggests even more creative activities for little ones. Designed for three- to seven-year-olds, this book takes children through simple steps to create lions, insects, frogs, sea creatures, and other animals using paper plates.

You can find these books in bookstores, online, or at your library. Give the activities a try together with your preschooler, and you’ll be making more than crafts — you’ll be making memories.
